2003-2004 Ford Mustang Cobra Whipple W140AX 2.3L Supercharger Upgrade Kit (Stock Throttle Body)
Usage réservé à la course, non homologué pour la route.
This Whipple W140AX 2.3L twin-screw supercharger system is purpose-built for the 2003-2004 Ford Mustang Cobra (Terminator) 4.6L supercharged, supporting roughly 8-25 psi of boost depending on supporting modifications; the complete bolt-on configuration covers a 13 psi setup with no engine or PCM changes required on an otherwise-stock vehicle. Every system is engineered, machined, and assembled in-house at Whipple's Fresno, California headquarters as a complete, matched package — not an assortment of parts pieced together.
The Whipple W140AX 2.3L twin-screw compressor is a direct bolt-on replacement for the factory Eaton roots-style supercharger, built to deliver more airflow, cooler charge temperatures, and less parasitic loss while retaining the stock throttle body. A CAD-designed air inlet and discharge path plus a billet oversized bypass valve support boost levels from roughly 8 to 25 psi depending on supporting modifications. No oil pan tapping is required — the unit is internally lubricated with no separate reservoir or catch can.
The complete bolt-on system includes what's needed for a 13 psi configuration with no modifications to the engine or PCM on an otherwise-stock vehicle; higher boost levels call for supporting fuel and calibration upgrades.
