BPS Billet Cam Caps for 2011+ Coyote
Racing Use Only, Not Legal for Road Use
Factory cam caps aren't built for the spring pressure and RPM a serious Coyote build puts on them. Under load they can flex or even crack, and once that happens the camshaft moves and valve timing goes inconsistent right when you need it most. BPS Billet Cam Caps eliminate that weak point and add real rigidity to the top end.
Each cap is CNC machined from billet aluminum and black anodized for wear resistance, with carbon steel locating dowels included for accurate alignment during installation. Front caps are direct replacements for factory parts and work with both OE and BPS heavy duty timing chains and guides.
Fitment by head generation: Gen 1 heads (2011-2014), Gen 2 heads (2015-2017), Gen 3 heads (2018-2026). The Gen 3 cap covers 2018 through 2026 Mustang, including the Gen 4 Mustang, which uses the same cap as Gen 3. It does not fit the 2021 and newer Gen 4 F-150 head.
A Gen 3 kit is fourteen caps, and that is deliberate. On a direct injection head, one cap position carries the plunger that drives the DI pump. We don't machine that cap, so you keep your factory one in that position and run BPS caps everywhere else.
Installation note: cam caps must be line bored after installation to ensure proper camshaft alignment.

BPS part number: EN033 series
Damage one later and you do not have to buy the set again: single replacement cap, front replacement cap, and replacement dowels in 8mm and 10mm.
Caps come up for the same reason as the rest of the timing system — locked cams and more valve spring pressure. If that is the build, the parts that go in at the same time are VCT lockouts (EN019), secondary chain guides (EN045) and the timing chain arms (EN047).
