Stage 1, 1R, 2, Competition
What the stages actually mean
Every Whipple kit is a complete, matched system built in Fresno, California: the Gen 6 twin screw blower, the dual pass dual core intercooler, heat exchanger and pump, belt drive, hardware and a Tomahawk flash tool with Whipple calibration. The stage changes how much air and fuel the kit can move.
The complete base kit
Stock throttle body and injectors sized for the kit. Fits under the factory hood with no cutting. The right answer for most street cars and trucks.
More injector headroom
Same blower and stock throttle body as Stage 1, but steps up to 55 lb Bosch injectors. Room to grow on fuel without buying the big throttle body yet.
Billet throttle body and rails
Adds the billet 132 mm Roval throttle body, billet fuel rails and 55 lb injectors. The top street kit for each platform and the one to pick if you plan to push it later.
3.8L for serious power
The larger Gen 6 3.8L blower for F-150 and GT500 Predator applications. For builds with the fuel system, driveline and engine to back it up.
Whipple's power figures are at the flywheel on 93 octane under ideal conditions. Canadian 91 will make a bit less, and elevation, fuel quality and exhaust all move the number. We will tell you straight what to expect from your combination.

Questions we get every week
Will a Whipple kit work on a stock engine?
The street kits are designed for a stock, healthy engine on pump gas and that is how Whipple rates them. A stock Gen 2 or Gen 3 Coyote lives fine at Stage 1 and Stage 2 power on 93 octane when the calibration is right and the fuel is good. If you want to turn it up past the kit's calibration, talk to us first. We build the short blocks that take it.
Do I need a tune?
Every kit ships with a Whipple Tomahawk flash tool and a Whipple calibration for the kit as sold. Change injectors, throttle body, exhaust or fuel and the calibration needs to follow. We can help you sort out what your combination needs.
What about 91 octane in Canada?
Whipple's horsepower numbers are on 93 octane. Most of Canada has 91 at the pump, so expect a bit less with the proper calibration. Ask us about fuel and calibration options for your combination before you order.
Does it fit under the stock hood?
Yes on the Coyote Mustang, F-150, Godzilla and Raptor kits listed here. No cutting or grinding, and the S650 kit keeps the K-brace. The Cobra, Lightning and GT500 upgrade kits replace a factory blower that was already under the hood.
Can I get the Whipple warranty?
Whipple offers a 3 year, 36,000 mile powertrain warranty on some kits. Where it is available we list it as an option on the product page. Ask us if you do not see it on yours.
